As one of a handful of civilian members of Military Writers Society of America, I'm extremely honored to have had several articles published in their quarterly digital magazine, 'Dispatches'.
The latest is from their Winter 2025 edition, reposted below.

About MWSA:
"We are a nationwide association of authors, poets, and artists drawn together by the common bond of military service. Most of our members are active-duty military, retirees, or military veterans. A few are lifelong civilians who have chosen to honor our military through their writings or their art. Our only core principle is a love of the men and women who defend this nation and a deeply personal understanding of their sacrifice and dedication."

When you are writing and researching a historical novel over five years, you don't think about things like awards.
Throughout the entire writing and editing process, I was intent on getting history right, down to the nth detail of accuracy, including all the military scenes.
The best validation that I succeeded was being included in an illustrious group of finalists for Military Writers Society of America's 2025 Historical Fiction category.
Awards of Bronze, Silver and Gold will be announced at the annual MWSA Conference in Kansas City, Missouri in late September, and we will be sure to let you know how we scored.
Many thanks to all the dedicated and knowledgeable volunteer reviewers who partook in this process, and to MWSA for the wonderful work this great organization does.
